High Hopes pinned on 'It's My Life'

Harman Baweja became a punching bag for most of the critics and the film lovers after the debacle of his much talked about launch vehicle and if anyone says that in spite of his good looks, he has been unable to amass a sizable chunk of admirers and well wishers, people who will take his side and give counter opinions will be very few.
But that's how it works out most of the time in the world of Bollywood where quite strangely a future star can be born even out of a flop movie and a protagonist of an immensely successful movie can also be looked down upon as a one film wonder who just got lucky for a single time and will never again can be expected to reach the same heights.
Anyway, 'Love Story 2050' is now history and the determined actor is currently immersing himself in a comparatively safe bet movie titled as 'Its My Life'.
There are two reasons why this movie can lay in front of Harman a clear path which can give him enough clarity to move ahead to be at least called a decent promise of the future.
First reason is that the film is being directed by Aneez Bazmee who is today a darling film maker of the financiers because of his way for feeling the pulse regarding the preference of the audience.
Second reason is that the film is a remake of a youth cult movie of Tollywood where it was born as 'Bommarillu' and became one of the greatest hits in that part of the country in the recent times.
Then the story of the movie was reincarnated in Kollywood as 'Santosh Subramaniam' and it again reached the zenith of success catapulting its hero Jayam Ravi into a leading man loved by the family audience as well as a performer who has the potential to draw in the crowd to the theatres.
So Harman can be quite assured of a success trip this time because if the taste of the two predecessors of 'Its My Life' has been digested well by the respective audience in two big film industries, then the possibility of the Hindi film audience also giving a thumbs up to the movie is a great possibility.
The confidence of Anees Bazmee in Harman also speaks about the satisfaction that the upcoming actor has been able to deliver and nothing other than good performance can be the reason.
And see what the star maker is saying.
Anees says that he is very much sure that the new film will alter the opinion of the film lovers and they will definitely start to see him as a good actor and a star.
Let us also hope the same as the hard work of a struggling actor has to be given some respect.
The movie's core them lies in the different shades of a relationship between a father and his son.
The versatile Nana Patekar will be seen as Harman's father in 'It's My Life'.
Then there is the cute, bubbly and talented Genelia playing the leading lady hoping to continue her good run started off by the super hit debut film of Imraan Khan.
A lot of scenes of 'It's My Life' have been already canned and now the cast and crew will be moving on to picturesque locations of Greece and then to Mumbai and Delhi to shoot the remaining portions.
