Kat’s fame makes director nervous

It is usually the actors who get jittery to work with famed filmmakers. Here it is vice versa.
Birdies revealed that director Rajkumar Santoshi was apprehensive to direct Katrina Kaif. The director brings two young vibrant actors, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif , in ‘Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’.
It is heard that the director was worrying about the actress’s fame overshadowing his failed attempts. And this made him to wear a low profile on the shooting sets. Talking over this, he had stated, “It becomes very difficult to work with an established star like Katrina. I would be very reluctant to ask Katrina for a retake.”
However, our Kat rubbished this in a light manner and said that the director has a good humour sense. She said, “We had a wonderful time working together on the sets. Hope nobody takes him seriously on that.”
Ohh.. On-screen khichayi??

Shilpa Shetty admires Big B

Actress Shilpa Shetty doesn’t wanna miss a single episode of Big Boss-3. Not merely because of her Bahan’s presence, but for the charismatic appeal of Amitabh Bacchan.
Big B has taken over the hat of hosting Big Boss from Shilpa Shetty, who had handled the task in the previous episode of this popular show. The actress cannot stop singing appraisals of Amitabh Bacchan as she says, “I missed Amitji a lot and much elated with his come back in small screens. He’s really doing a wonderful job and his unique style is unbeatable…”
Things have been getting more intact for the actress from the day, Season 3 has been launched. She doesn’t want to miss any segments as her younger sister Shamitha Shetty has been locked inside the Big Boss House for next 84 days with 12 strangers

I am a hero, not heroine’ – Dia Mirza

Bollywood’s hottie Dia Mirza is likely much excited with her upcoming film ‘Acid Factory’. The actress, who made her debut with ‘Rehna Tere Dil Mein’ and didn’t make a good time in tinsel town with continuous flops. But she expects a big fortune with ‘Acid Factory’ that depicts her in a much tomboyish character with action-packed quotients.
Interacting with media channels, the actress says, “My characterization is known as Max, who doesn’t care about taking risks and ready to do anything mortgaging her life indeed. Possibly, you can label me as film’s hero rather than calling me as heroine.”
Dia Mirza wholeheartedly thanks Shantanu and Nikhil, who had stylized her looks in ‘Acid Factory’.

Bipasha out of Raavan!?

Lagta hai nazar lagayi! The grapevines were buzzing with Bipasha Basu’s entry into Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Raavan’. Now it is said that the lady is nearly out of the Abhi-Aish starrer movie. Bips was roped in to play Raavan’s (Abhishek) wife Mandodari.
Sources have it that Mandodari’s character seemed using much space in the movie and more dominating than the other leading ladies, Aishwaraya and Priyamani, in the movie. Meanwhile, our Bips is really upset over the news and said, “I am sad... but it’s better than having my role chopped or totally edited... when lot of effort had gone to work out the role for this guest character.” However, the director’s publicist stated that he did not want to any injustice to her role and he would see that they both work together next time. So one has to wait for sometime to see whether this dusky beauty is really off the movie or not. For, it is said that either Mandodari’s character will remain in the movie or Bips will be replaced.
Till then, Bipasha’s fans can look forward to her forthcoming ‘All the Best’, which she is really confident and excited about.
Cheer up Bips!

Avantika Kapoor’s Controversial Entry in B-town

One more Kapoor babe has entered Bollywood and her name is Avantika Kapoor. Although she hails from non-filmy family, within the short span of her arrival she managed to get lucrative offers from prestigious banners. She shared the camera frame for Airtel with none other than Shahrukh Khan and she also featured in three video albums which were made for Apache Indian and Hard Kaur, Sandeep Batra of "Fame Gurukul" fame and the current chartbuster "Radheshyam" made by T Series. And now the doors of Bollywood are opened for her and noted director Faisal Saif has signed her for the main lead in his film "Mahi Mahi".
Speaking about this film she says, "When Faisal Saif offered me a lead role in this film I was very happy and excited but when he narrated me the story all my excitement got evaporated. This is not a routine kind of a-boy-meets-girl type story. In fact it is the story of a love between a Shiya boy and a Sunni girl. I am playing the role of a Sunni girl Husna Khan in it. I know an old rivalry is going on between Shiyas and Sunnis all over the world and lot of blood is flown on the streets all over due to the traditional rivalry between these two sects. Saddam Hussain was Sunni and when he was captured and was taken to ropes, the world showed on TV as to how Shiyas expressed their happiness and celebrated this by dancing on the streets and firing their guns in the air. This shows how deep the rivalry is between these two sects. Till now no film is made on the romance of a Shiya-Sunni boy and girl. On one side I am excited about this film same way I am nervous as well."

Hmm, do you remember the last time when Preity interviewed people on TV? ‘Lakshya’ and before that ‘Mission Kashmir’...

Aamir-Priyan on ‘AIDS’ project

For the first, B-town will witness coming together of National Award winner Priyadarshan and Aamir Khan for a realistic project, based on ‘AIDS’. Filmmaker Priyadarshan himself has confirmed the news about Aamir’s affirmative response to his call. The film deals with the deteriorating scenario of individuals affected by AIDS.
Priyadarshan is far-famed for making distinct flicks of various genres - commercial entertainers and offbeat ones and he wants to make this film more realistic. It’s worth mentioning that ‘My Brother Nikhil’ and ‘Phir Milenge’ were based on such themes.
