Priyanka-Katrina in remake of ‘Bride Wars’

So, here’s a big bonanza for the ardent buffs of Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. Yes, they will be spotted together playing lead roles in the remake of Hollywood’s ‘Bride Wars’. According to the closer sources, it has been confirmed that both the top-charting actresses have signed the agreement with producer Shrishti Arya.
Both Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif were much enchanted watching the original version and wished they could be a part in remake if the situation rises. On the dot, it’s almost like their dreams becoming true.
Producer Shrishti has officially acquired the remake rights for a record price and the film will start rolling shortly by November. But he doesn’t reveal anything about the other crewmembers as talks are going on still.
The original version had Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway enacting the role of two best friends who later turn in as enemies as they fix their marriages at the same venue, day and time. What unfolds next is series of hilarious moments with more rib-tickling moments.

The grapevines are buzzing, excited! The latest tittle-tattle is that the dimpled beauty and Mr. Perfectionist are going to share the screen again.
Preity Zinta and Aamir Khan will be soon seen in an Aamir Khan’s production. It is rumoured to be a directorial debut of Bengali director Shoumik Sen. The project will take-off once ‘Delhi Belly’ releases and Aamir has approached Preity already to discuss the movie, sources say. But the news is still not confirmed by Aamir as yet. Looks like he is following his age-old tradition of maintaining suspense about his projects.
Preity and Aamir had hit-off well with ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ earlier. Let’s see whether they will be able to impress us this time too

These days the comedy king David Dhawan is going gaga over his ‘Do Knot Disturb’ leading lady. Lara Dutta seems to have won over David with her striking acting skills. He was highly impressed with her performance in Salmam-Govinda starrer ‘Partner’ and thus had offered her ‘Do Knot Disturb’. Not only that! The famous director was equally bowled over her weight! Says sources, “David calls Lara Perfect Miss 58 and is completely amazed how the actress has maintained 58 kilos for last six years.”
Well, this former Miss Universe truly has a hot body and now we know how Lara wins over her directors!
However, ‘Do Knot Disturb’ has another ex-Miss Universe too! Sushmita Sen does share an equally important role in the movie. The two beauties will be co-starring with Govinda, Ritesh Deshmukh and Sohail Khan.
Another interesting aspect of this movie is that the nineties' famous musical trio Nadeem-Shravan-Sameer, is back after a long time in this one. Though the Lyricist Sameer was active, Nadeem-Shravan are giving their compositions together after a long gap of five years.

My Name Is Khan on a swimming spree

Water has always been a source of thrill and… trouble for some. The team of Karan Johar’s 'My Name Is Khan' is enjoying the watery days, both inside and outside the film sets. While its pouring cats-dogs outside, its equally water-jammed on the shooting sets of this movie.
Enclosed within the premises of Film City, the crew are having troublesome time shooting inside three feet deep water. The scene, which features a flooded New York, has been impressively recreated the foreign location at a whopping amount and planning. It is said that artificial rains are used thus adding more inconvenience to the shoot. Even the cameras were not spared; they had been positioned underwater to capture scenes below the water.
The real rains had also found its way into the sets, helping the team to get a natural effect. As for the cast of the movie, they are really said to be braving the water shoot. Our King Khan seemed to have gone all frog-skinned due to the long stay in waters. He has been even nicknamed as Mermaid by the people on the set. But along with the water, SRK has seemed to be taking it sportingly. After Shah Rukh, Jimmy Shergill will soon dive into the schedule to finish his round of shooting.
Hmm, our only concern is that hope all the people involved here would come out fit and fine.

Birthday wishes to flowery gal: Tulip Joshi

She is sweet, charming and impressive! Tulip Joshi may have not given BO hits but she has surely grasped a seat for herself in this big glittering town.
With her debut ‘Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai’, people were hopefully that this lady will make it big, for the movie was from the YRF banner. But her fragrance was just spread mildly in Bollywood, until it was noticed in ‘Mathrubhoomi’. With the tagline that goes ‘A nation without women’, ‘Mathrubhoomi’ brought out a remarkable actor from Tulip and the made people to sit up take notice of this innocent looking beauty.
But her films which came after this couldn’t attract much attention and the actress is not bothered about success. What matters is the diversity in the roles she plays. For she said, “I am searching for different roles always and I refuse to repeat myself. Maybe that is why my career graph has been slightly strange.” Tulip doesn’t want to be a typecast and that one can see through her choice of films so far.
Her recent movie ‘Daddy Cool’ might have not got the response as expected but we don’t think Tulip will play it low and we really wish this actress makes it up one fine day. The brand ambassador of Coco-Cola, Aamir is really impressed with his new animated avatar and hopes that his like him in the ad as well. Aamir stated, “It is a very interesting concept as for the first time my features have been replicated as an animated character through special effects. I think the robotic animated look has really come out well in the film.”
Based on the concept ‘Open Happiness’, the ad is the effort of ad filmmaker-lyricist Prasoon Joshi and creative guru Ashish Chakravarty.

Confused young person of 2009: Ayesha Takia

The chulbuli actress of ‘Wanted’ seems to be enjoying her career post marriage. Having Salman as her co-star in the movie, Ayesha Takia is really excited for its release. With the movie she carries a promise to carry on her acting work further.
Now, our cute lady has also confirmed about her stay in filmdom through her website jottings. She has typed, “Hey people, I just wanna make it clear that I will be doing lots more films! I love films and will continue to do them.” As on now Ayesha has no plans to retire and will be seen in couple of movies after ‘Wanted’. She has ‘Paathshaala’ with Shahid Kapoor and Revathy Verma’s ‘Aap Ke Liye Hum’ with Jaya Bachchan.
Ayesha lives by the characters she plays in movies. In fact she says that she feels like any other who has dreams and aspirations. “I contemplate and am on the fence about a lot of things! I’ve just realized that I’m a normal, confused young person of 2009... by normal I mean real and someone who is sometimes confused and doesn’t decide in an instant!” pips in the actress.
