Kangana to wear comedy now

Kangana Ranaut will be sharing screen with R. Madhavan in ‘Tanu Weds Manu’. The movie will be directed by Aanand L. Rai. The actress known for doing most of the serious subjected movies will be trying her hand at comedy in this one. It is said that initially the director had approached Konkona Sen for the role but due to her other work commitments, he decided to change his choice.
The ‘Fashion’ heroine has been approached to a comedy flick before this too. She will be acting in Anees Bazmee’s ‘No Problem’, a movie that is said to be out-and-out comedy. The movie also features Anil Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, Sushmita Sen, Neetu Chandra, Suresh Menon and Paresh Rawal. A little birdie said that the hot actress was nicknamed ‘Minnie Mouse’ by Sushmita Sen! In her blog, Kangana has written about the good rapport she enjoys with the Sush and said, “I enjoyed spending girl-time with Sushmita, who nicknamed me 'Minnie Mouse' because of my hairdo for the role I play, which has bangs and two pony tails...and probably because I wore a lot of pink...and she thought it looked so cute.”
Hmm, now we definitely have to look out for this gal now!

The actress was present much prior to schedule time of shoot. Fervidly, it wasn’t simply out of punctuality, but for a greater concern for her co-star Hrithik Roshan. Closer sources revealed that she didn’t want to waste the call-sheet of Hrithik Roshan.
Meanwhile, the actress flies down to Ooty by August 19 to shoot for Mani Rathnam’s ‘Raavana’ that has been constantly landing up entire crew in troubled waters with unexpected turmoils.

Bipasha to judge a British TV show

Our dusky and sexy diva, Bipasha Basu, has been chosen by a popular UK reality show as a celebrity judge. Though the actress is being tight lipped about the news, sources have revealed that Bipasha is quite keen to be one of the judges on the show which has well-known British names. As she is extremely articulate, the producers of the show came up with the offer. It is also said that the actress feels that this would be the right chance to boost her career and make a name in the International front.
It is also in the air that the oomph gal has been approached to be the host of the Indian version of America's Next Top Model. The programme will be produced under the banner of Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Production.

Mallika honoured in Los Angeles!

For the first time in the history of Hollywood, a career recognition, honorary citizenship and official Resolution was bestowed upon a Bollywood star by the City of Los Angeles. Mallika Sherawat received the prestigious honor in the presence of members of the entertainment industry, friends, family and fans during a ceremony at Los Angeles City Hall on the eve of Indian Independence Day.
In the City Hall Council Chambers, Councilmember Jose Huizar presented Mallika the honor to hearty applause from those assembled, citing her career achievements and charitable efforts. Mallika accepted the Resolution, which was signed by the Mayor and all City Council members, before giving an inspiring speech to numerous rounds of applause throughout the hall. The seemingly excited Mallika said, “Thank you. I am deeply, and humbly, grateful for this grand honor. And a very special thanks to Councilmember Huizar, Mayor Villaragosa, Mayor Riordan, and all the City Council... And to my friends, family and fans who are here today, sharing this Recognition with me - on such an auspicious day, the eve before we celebrate Indian Independence Day. As the first Indian Bollywood actor to receive this Recognition, I proudly accept it in honor of my home country, mother India, and my beloved Bollywood, the world's largest film industry. May our two countries continue their special friendship, and our two film industries Bollywood and Hollywood continue this new wave of collaboration, and make great art and entertainment, throughout the world, and for all people. And as a new "NRI" (that's non-Resident Indian!), I dedicate this to all the millions of NRIs who came before me. Who’s Lara’s new love interest?

Lara Dutta is over Dino Morea and that is certain after Dino declared that he was single and not ready to mingle. Even without talking about Lara, Dino made it obvious as to what was the equation between him and his ex, Lara. Lara has plans of wrapping up her shoot and heading for a holiday to an undisclosed location to get away from her recent break up.

Neha Dhupia’s going International!

Neha Dhupia’s is ready for a leap and a huge one at that. The actor, who has been going steady in Bollywood post some great sensible cinema like ‘Ek Chalis’, will now be doing a US mini-series, ‘Bollywood Hero’.
While Neha plays the character of a Bollywood superstar, Lalima who has loads of attitude and tantrums, the actress claims to be otherwise in real life, “She is so unlike me, I just couldn’t relate to her. I did not take any real life inspiration.” With that Neha steers clean of any controversies. That’s not it the actor will be doing a sizzling dance number in the rain, which is also her introduction in the film. Neha however thinks that Bollywood actresses are no longer introduced like this.
The film also has a guest appearance by Keano Reeves and Neha is disappointed that she had no scenes with him. Chris Kattan is the lead opposite Neha in the film who plays a wannabe Bollywood actor. The film is a spoof on Bollywood.
That’s not it this year is a very happening one for Neha with a huge string of big banner releases and of-course some small budget films with close friend Rajat Kapoor. When quizzed if she is Rajat’s favourite, Neha replies, “All I can say is that Rajat has a smart choice.”
Do not know about Rajat but, Neha you certainly seem to be making smart choices as far your films are concerned.

Sonam against Diabetes

Actress Sonam Kapoor is truly an actress of difference. She has been setting waves since her debut in the Bollywood. Latest is that the impressive lass is said to have done four short films on Diabetes.
The films are directed by Kunal Vohra and shot in the Studio of the ace photographer Dabboo Ratnani. Sources said that the director was pleasantly surprised when Sonam readily agreed to be a part of this awareness campaign, even though she is a busy body. Talking about the films to sources, Kunal said, “Three of the films talk about the symptoms of diabetes while the fourth has a voiceover with Sonam encouraging people to go in for regular check-ups.”
Interestingly, Sonam was well-aware about diabetes, its symptoms and the treatment and so the filmmaker didn’t have the chance to make the actress familiar with the subject. The movie is undergoing the editing process and will be released soon.
